Root Companion privacy policy

In short: No accounts, no tracking cookies, and no ads. The feedback form sends what you write to a private issue tracker.
What Root Companion collects
Root Companion collects only anonymous visit data. Your collection, setups, and any interactions with the page are private to you and not stored by us, unless you choose to send feedback (see below).
Feedback you send
The Send feedback form files a report in a private issue tracker that only we can read. The report includes:
- What you write: The kind of report, a title, your message, and a contact detail only if you add one.
- What helps us reproduce a problem: The setup in progress, the page, your browser’s user agent, and your screen size.
The form tells you this before you send. Reports are only kept long enough to resolve an issue.
What stays in your browser
Your collection of expansions and the setup in progress are saved in your browser’s local storage and they never leave your device. Clearing your browser’s site data removes all locally stored data.
What we don’t do
No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, no selling or sharing of data, and never any paywalls.
Who we are
Root Companion is made by Programmatic Whales, a one-person studio. “We” and “us” in this policy mean Programmatic Whales. We commit to never harvesting your data or selling ads, and we don’t sell, rent, or share personal information.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy before any change and notify users ahead of any changes to how we handle or collect data. The date at the top shows the effective date of the current policy.
